OVERVIEW:

The custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and well-functioning church facility while overseeing routine custodial and basic maintenance needs. This position coordinates with the Director of Operations, church staff, and outside contractors to manage building projects, supplies, event setups, and facility needs.

• Custodial experience is a plus, but not required

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Cleaning – Bathrooms, kitchens, offices, meeting rooms, the sanctuary/auditorium, and other public spaces.

• Basic building maintenance and repair – Perform tasks such as replacing light bulbs, restocking fixtures, identifying maintenance issues, and completing minor repairs.

• Event setup and breakdown – Safely arrange tables, chairs, and other equipment according to specific event requirements.

• Inventory management – Cleaning and maintenance supplies
