ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Position type: Part-Time / 20 hours per week

Reports to: Executive Pastor, Volunteer Pastor, Executive Admin

Work schedule: Monday - Thursday, 9A-2P, year-round

Location: Somonauk Offices

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Assist Volunteer/Pastoral Care pastor, and Executive Admin

  • Assist with volunteer scheduling, administration, care, and communication

  • Help with planning and execution of volunteer trainings

  • Review hospitality inventory and ordering

  • Manage workflows

  • Process receipts and reimbursements

  • Track and produce monthly numbers and reports

  • Helping with staff care through birthday cards

  • Ordering office supplies

  • Formatting and sending emails

  • Technology/External software: Basecamp, ToDoist, Google Calendar, Gmail, Planning Center.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Friendly

  • Organized

  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong typing and proofing skills

  • Strong computer skills

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced office environment

  • A fast learner

  • Professional

  • Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible to change

  • Success in this job will require a firm grasp of Harvest Chapel's beliefs, values, and strategy.

  • Familiarity with Mac computers and Apple software (e.g., macOS, Pages, Numbers, Keynote) is a plus.
