ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Position type: Part-Time / 24 hours per week

Reports to: Office Manager/Assimilation Pastor

Work schedule: Monday - Thursday, 9A-3P

Harvest Chapel is a growing church with 1800+ attendees every week in our multiple services. This is a place where people can meet Jesus and engage in a life-giving community where everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people of every age and background can have authentic encounters with Christ and continually grow in their relationship with Him. Walking through the doors, you will see a vibrant church eager to share God's love. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Greet guests who arrive at our offices with friendliness, professionalism, and excellence.

  • Answer phones, answer questions, and relay messages

  • Collect and process communication with the church through mail, email, and voicemail

  • Order and manage office supplies and some church supplies

  • Entering attendance from check-in cards

  • People database management

  • Prayer request processing

  • Ordering flowers for pastoral care

  • Assist with communion preparation

  • Assist Assimilation pastor

  • Manage workflows

  • Assist with Baptism preparations

  • New guest management

  • New member management

  • Complete monthly reports

  • Technology/External software: Basecamp, ToDoist, Google Calendar, Gmail, Planning Center.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Friendly

  • Organized

  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong typing and proofing skills

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced office environment

  • A fast learner

  • Professional

  • Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible to change

  • Success in this job will require a firm grasp of Harvest Chapel's beliefs, values, and strategy.

  • Familiarity with Mac computers and Apple software (e.g., macOS, Pages, Numbers, Keynote) is a plus.
